Christantus Uche Sparks Straightforward Palace Win at Shelbourne.

Without star figures like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the London club left Dublin with a commanding result that all but secures them a spot in the Europa Conference League playoffs.

Another three points in their upcoming match against Finnish KuPS ought to be enough to seal direct entry to the last 16, particularly following a previous setback against Strasbourg.

Squad Members Seize the Opportunity

This match offered a chance for several Palace's fringe players to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second start after joining on loan from Getafe, opened the scoring with a well-taken finish. Striker Eddie Nketiah added a another, finding the net for the second game in match.

The contest was effectively over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino weaved past a series of comically weak challenges before calmly dispatching a shot past keeper Wessel Speel to extend the lead to 3-0.

Following the break, coach Oliver Glasner took the chance to rest key players like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring his very first touch, only to see his shot blocked.

The youngster was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one attempt strike off each posts before being clasped on the line. Uche also missed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still room for improvement in his game.

The only worry for Palace was a late injury to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This allowed 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to make his senior debut, rounding off an otherwise positive night for the traveling side.
