Soccer Analyst Chris Sutton Takes On Singer Murs in Premier League Predictions

The Gunners' ten-match victorious run was ended by the Black Cats before the international break, however will the Premier League leaders bounce back against north London rivals Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still manage to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, against artificial intelligence, fans and a range of guests.

In week 12, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.

The singer's new album, the new release, is available on Friday.

Soccer and Parenting Life

Murs is a skilled footballer as well as a accomplished singer and has been a star of multiple charity football games down the years - but he is not intending a professional return as a footballer.

"{I recently played in a benefit match the other evening for a friend of mine," he explained. "The team was losing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!

"I still love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it seriously again.

"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my child or boy chooses to play instead."

The singer and his spouse his partner have a young family, Madison and their son, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by becoming their coach.

"I won't force football on our kids but I've already told Amelia that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be managing their weekend football team," he said.

"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously was involved with a soccer team for a while too.

"My father did it with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I inherited it. He coached our side for two or three seasons and had great fun with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Premier League Forecasts

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues may have to be patient for Cole Palmer's comeback from injury but their offense is now stronger with Pedro and Delap both back fit.

I still think this fixture will be quite close, though. The Clarets are disciplined and their only at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.

It smells of a 1-1 tie to me, but I am in fact going to choose Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.

Sutton's forecast: 1-2

The singer's prediction: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

AI's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have lost their past two games - albeit both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which shocked me.

On the other hand, the Hammers won back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they appear strong again.

West Ham's sole away victory this campaign came at Forest in the summer, when West Ham boss Nuno was previously that team's coach.

Therefore, what on earth do I predict here - will it be the Hammers continuing their run under Nuno, or the home side responding?

I will go with Bournemouth, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a blip.

Sutton's prediction: 2-0

Olly's prediction: The home team are performing strongly but West Ham have picked up under their boss. 2-2

AI's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were considered one of the frontrunners for relegation before the season started, but they have impressed a several people under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three wins in their past four matches.

My son advised me to select Bees striker Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks back and, guess what, I didn't listen.

The forward will likely score again on the weekend but I am still not going to select him or support Brentford at Brighton's ground.

The Bees have not had great success on the road this term, and Brighton are consistently strong at their stadium. The visitors will attempt to attack on the counter-attack but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's team pose much more of a danger.

Sutton's prediction: 2-1

Olly's view: This could be a match where you expect there is going to be a lot of scores but it in reality proves to be rather tight. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a massive fixture for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six matches.

They have got plenty of talent in their squad but it nonetheless feels like they could be sucked into a relegation fight.

Regarding the Black Cats, well they are the surprise package of the top flight campaign so far.

The away side's performance in the two-all tie with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We've not witnessed anyone else rough up the North London side like that this term, and they were more than a match for them.

The sensible thing to do to back the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of disrupting Fulham up too and, the last time they were in west London, they defeated the Blues at the end of October.

But I am not going to choose that. Rather, I truly need to continue opposing Sunderland with my predictions. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their positive results because they clearly love to prove me wrong.

Considering Fulham's at Craven Cottage form, the only side they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Marco Silva's side will be absolutely eager for a good result, so I am going to predict they will pick up three much-needed points.

Sutton's prediction: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I'm aware Sunderland are performing strongly and also that Fulham are on a poor streak... but Fulham have nonetheless been decent at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0

AI's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a tough one to predict. The Reds have lost seven of their past 10 matches in every tournament, but could they be one of the sides who profit from the {international break|
