The Secret Organization is poised to make a major impact in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, although the major clash won’t unfold until season 3, and a cherished, audience-beloved member has just been cast.
Netflix announced Tuesday that the talented performer is now part of the One Piece cast for the third season and will embody Bon Clay. This character can use their power to morph into an identical duplicate of any individual they’ve touched with their dominant hand. The performer, who is gender non-conforming and prefers they/them pronouns, will play a interpretation of that role re-envisioned as gender non-binary, rather than as a drag performer, in the real-life adaptation, unlike the initial comic and animated series.
The new cast member will work alongside several other recently announced actors who will portray the group to the screen, such as leader Sir Crocodile, played by Joe Manganiello, a talented actress as Miss Goldenweek, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who is also part of the lineup as the monarch of the fictional land.
Though this character is a key figure of the group, the persona won’t appear until One Piece the third season. Considering season 2 likely to portray the Little Garden arc, this marks a major departure in the timing of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could indicate additional alterations to the plot development.
Their mix of sharp comedic timing and emotional depth makes them a perfect fit for the character. In addition to their current animated role in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and several accolades for writing and starring in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, emphasizing the range they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s most celebrated figures.
Netflix's live-action One Piece program is due to premiere for its season two on the tenth of March, 2026.
